The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the party enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.

Fans can expect discovering which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
